Wearing his Kansas City onesie

Gabe wears his brand-new "Kansas City" jumper. Daddy got it for him on a recent business trip. 6-month sized? Hmmm. It already fits like a glove on our big guy.

Playing

Gabe plays with his new toy -- Baby Einstein. He is just big enough now for his toes to touch the ground.

Introducing the Bumbo seat

Now able to comfortably hold his head-up for long periods of time, Gabriel enjoys his first day in his Bumbo seat. This chair will continue to help Gabe build neck strength, and is said to build trunk (stomach and back) strength, to help Gabe learn to sit-up on his own.

Stand and Be Heard

It's going to be a while before he can do this without help.

Sitting-up like a big boy

With just a little help (or maybe a lot of help!), Gabe sits like a big boy.

Thanks Aunt Pam (Divin)

On an unseasonably chilly mid-April morning, Gabe heads-out to school wearing his baby blue hooded sweater jacket, hand-knit by his Grandma's friend Pam Divin.

Relaxing after a meal

After a meal, burp, and diaper change, Gabe relaxes.

Forward progress

Crawling? We're not sure about the "definition" of crawling, but during Tummy Time this morning, Gabe moved himself forward almost a full foot on the floor. It way primarily his legs doing the work, but his arms did enough to keep him from dragging his face on the carpet. It will be interesting to see if this was a fluke, or if we are headed towards early mobility.

Digesting his meal

Gabe relaxes in his bouncey seat after a meal.

Friends since the first day

Gabe may be 5 hours older than his best friend Blake, but here he needs her shoulder to lean-on.

Relaxing in his play-chair

Gabe relaxes in his bouncy play-chair.

Morning playtime with daddy

Prior to heading-off to "school," Gabriel gets some morning playtime with daddy. Morning playtime always includes a "workout" of tummy time on the boppy-pillow, as that builds his neck and upper body strength.

Playing in Parallel

Gabe and his friend Blake play "together." We're interested to see at what age the kids really do play together, rather than playing side-by-side on their own. They occasionally nudge each other, but we think it's mostly accidental.

Double Feeding

Gabe and Blake are usually on different schedules, but sometimes their schedules cross. Thankfully, the Nanny is able to deal with simultaneous meal time.

Hanging-out with the Nanny

While the moms are still around for the week of transition, Gabe and Blake are showing their best behavior for the nanny. How nice of them!
