At the Waterpark

Gabe takes a lunch break, relaxing in the shade at the waterpark. Gabe has just recently gone from 'liking' the water, to 'loving' the water, and continually puts his head under any waterfall he can find.

Best Friends

Gabe and Blake have been friends since Day 1, literally. Here they share good times on a skunk. Earlier in the day, when they were at their swim lesson, we had to yet again respond to the common question .... "No, they aren't twins, but they were born the same day...to different parents."

Daddy's Little Daredevil

Gabe was like a little monkey, climbing on everything in site at the playground in the mall. We think we have a little Daredevil on our hands!

And so it begins ...

We've heard babble and random use of partial words for months, but we are now beginning to see Gabe use words to communicate. This all began in the last week. In this photo, you can see Gabe eating cheese with a cup of water. What makes it significant is that he specifically asked for "Cheese" and "Wawa." We're told the words will roll-in quickly, now that he realizes the power of verbal communication.

Nothing but Net

Gabe loves his new basketball hoop, which we set-up yesterday in the basement. Now that he's got the hang of it, it's time to raise the rim a few inches.

Water Fountain Wonderment

Gabe is amazed by the water fountain turning itself on and off (it had a sensor on it, so clicked 'on' every time he got near it). After we helped him drink from it, he had a very wet shirt!

Tougher side

Even a 17-month old can have a tougher side. Gabe sports his camouflage shorts and shows big belly.

Jump!

Gabe learned to jump this weekend. That's right, he can propel himself about 1 inch into the air! Pretty impressive for 17 months old. Needless to say, he loves to practice his new skill, and to watch daddy jump with him.
