Spring

It felt like Spring today. Big yard at our house to play in, warm temps, and everyone is happy (see mommy and Dara in the background, looking out over our fence at the horses). 

Wonderland

Gabe at a sports bar, surrounded by TVs showing every sport imaginable. If it's a sport, he'll watch it. 

High School basketball

Gabe went to his first high school basketball game and loved it. He declared, "I'm going to play for that team when I'm in high school."

It's been all basketball lately for Gabe, both outside and inside the house.

Focus....or obsession? 3 inches of snow on the ground, but Gabe wanted to shoot baskets. He went-out and shot baskets in the snow (first photo), so I eventually went and shoveled around the hoop (second photo).

VIDEO: Searching the Web

Gabe uses the Siri feature on the iPad/iPhone to get answers. Here, he's searching for when the next UVA college basketball game is. This is significant for a lot of reasons: 1) he desperately wants to watch more UVA basketball (And notice in the video that he sees the result of his search....the next UVA game is UVA vs. Maryland....Go UVA!); 2) he now knows he can get some basic answers by himself, by asking the iPad/iPhone (he did the search in this video-clip on his own; I didn't tell him to do it); 3) he doesn't realize it, but Gabe is now searching the web (he can't really spell or read well yet, and he certainly can't type). It never occurred to me how voice recognition technology would change things for people.  My, how technology has changed things!
